I think it is very unfortunate; the Blazers had a good young squad. With McMillan coaching, they could have competed for the 8th seed.
I personally would have drafted Durant. Though Oden can possibly be a Tim Duncan type player on defense, I doubt his offensive game will ever come close to mirroring that of Duncan.
Durant though, he is the truth. Terrific all around skill, a great late game hunger, and incredible athletic ability. I fully expect Durant to become an all NBA defender within the next few years.
