Travis's album "The Man Who" is my all-time favorite road trip music. It starts off with "Writing to Reach You", which has this very shuffly rhythm to it that matches perfectly with wheels turning. If someone else is doing the driving, I listen to this and let my mind wander. I also really love Crowded House's greatest hits album, "Recurring Dream", and Neil Finn's album "One All". Kind of quiet but with some upbeat tunes when you need them.
If I'm driving, I like to listen to Muse's "Absolution". It has a bunch of great driving songs, like "Stockholm Syndrome".
