Why, Bear Grylls, why?
Bear Grylls not as "Wild" as expected
Quote:
This is a classic example of me nearly putting my foot in my mouth.
The last week or so, I have been watching a lot of the Discovery Channel and a little show called 'Man vs. Wild.'
And I was all set to rave about this show on the blog this week....
Hosted by Bear Grylls, 'Man vs. Wild' is a survival television series that has the host Grylls dropped in extreme conditions all across the world with just the bare essentials including a knife and a canteen of water.
Nothing makes for great television like watching a guy eat elephant feces because he's hungry.
Too bad Bear Grylls is a fraud!
The modern day Tarzan spent the night indoors on at least two occasions when the series had led viewers to believe he was spending the night in the wild.An investigation into the show has exposed that 'Man vs. Wild' might not exactly be as advertised.
The Discovery Channel released the following:
"Moving forward, the program will be 100 percent transparent, and all elements of the filming will be explained upfront to our viewers. In addition, shows that are to be repeated will be edited appropriately. Bear Grylls is a world-class adventurer and a terrific talent."
"Talent"
By talent, if you mean liar, you would be correct.
I'm sticking to 'Survivorman' from now on.
