I suppose the reality of this title comes down to the stance put forward by the GOP in general. Had the republican party not shown itself to be the Anti-Gay,self proclaimed family values party....the title would be pointless. As it is, I believe the OP was intended to show off the broken message in action. While it is definately true this one person does not represent the republican party, he is still a member of it, and by putting "GOP" in the title the OP makes a tie in to an ongoing trend of mixed messages from that particular party. Had the individual been a Democrat...He would still be depraved, but as the Democrats are somewhat less hateful toward Gay Rights it would not be quite as damning.
