I saw this, but didn't really think it was discussion worthy... Not because it's state politics, but because Bob Allen doesn't equal the GOP. His actions were thoughtless and stupid, and will doubtless cost him re-election, but they don't rise to the level of an indictment of the GOP - whether or not that party portrays itself as the defender of family values and "morality".
I'll reverse-Shakran here and say that this guy doesn't reflect on the GOP any more than Clinton's transgressions reflected on the Dems as a whole. What those guys did merely spoke to their own personal character and weaknesses.
