Battle Creek, Michigan, Sunshine Gardens Nudist Resort, The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) and The Naturist Society (TNS) are teaming up this summer to encourage Americans to take off their clothes, where appropriate, during the annual Nude Recreation Week celebration, July 9-15, 2007. AANR and TNS encourage first timers to enjoy clothes-free relaxation during Nude Recreation Week at home or at one of the many AANR and TNS-affiliated clubs.
This annual celebration is for individuals and families — anyone can contact a clothing-optional club affiliated with AANR or TNS to experience firsthand one of the fastest growing trends in both travel and recreation.
Social Nudism Introduction, at Sunshine Gardens Nudist Resort: Call 269-962-1600 11am to 6 pm for a reservation and tour. Learn about social nudism / naturist, at a beautiful nudist park that was founded in 1942 by the Adams Family, who often refer to SGR as their "Garden of Eden." SGR is the oldest nudist park in the United States to be operated by the same family.
For those looking to try something new in the comfort of their own home, TNS and AANR recommend these "fab five" activities:
# Cool off: skinny dip in your backyard pool.
# Make housekeeping fun: ditch those clothes, turn on some music and get out the mop.
# Get in touch with nature: shed those threads and grab your garden tools for some nude gardening.
# Exercise in the altogether: hit the treadmill or dust off one of the workout videos.
# Telecommute in the nude: working from home, in the nude, is in fact increasing in popularity!
First-timers are invited to don their birthday suits at home or at a nudist club and experience the personal liberation, stress-relief, and simple comfort of nudism. Parties interested in visiting should call Sunshine Gardens Resort in advance or check out their website at sunshinegardensresort.com. Media interested in setting up interviews or a visit, should contact the club's spokesperson Penny Adams at 269-962-1600. AANR's mission is to advocate for nudity in appropriate settings as well as educate and inform the public about its value through ongoing membership growth. It is the oldest and largest organization of its kind representing nearly 50,000 members and their families, who enjoy clothes-free recreation throughout North America.
