Just because she's eating with you doesn't mean she's homeless. It makes it more likely, but cats aren't stupid. If she likes your food better than the stuff at home, she's going to eat your food. Even her avoidance of being too close isn't too indicative. Although the average house cat feels comfortable with those who feed them....
I dunno. I don't think you can know if she's homeless. Do you have neighbors reasonably nearby? If so, no way to know. If you can get close to her, check out the feel of her fur. Homeless kitties just aren't as clean feeling. That's about all the usefulness I have for you, sorry!
