Selling alcohol to someone who's already drunk is stupid because you have no idea what they're going to do when they leave, especially if they're driving. I'm pretty sure that I could open up any edition of any newspaper in the country today and find proof of that with virtually no effort. Hell, I could look on Fark to find a story of some drunken idiot doing something to find proof that drunks do stupid things. So yes, selling someone who's only descriptive adjective is "drunk" in the story is wrong.
I'm not a Christian and haven't held myself out as any sort of authority on anything. I just think it's irresposible, and therefore wrong, to do this. The law is whatever it is, but we all know that right vs. wrong sometimes has little to do with legal vs. illegal.
