Cartoon characters (or at least the ones people are choosing in this thread) are nothing more than visual representations of what an ideal male/female would look like and/or act like. Exaggerated features, bad attitudes, and kick-ass-take-no-prisoner philosophies, etc are all easy to be sexually attracted to. One could easily argue that dreaming about Six or Jessica Rabbit is no worse than dreaming about Alba or Kidman, you're never going to be able to get any of them.
