On Friday I went to Von Maur and bought a bottle of Lacoste 'Style In Play' (the red bottle), which is a summery scent with jasmine and musk notes... I liked it more than any of the other 30 or so typical department store fragrances I tried, by far. It should be a nice compliment to my favorite cologne of all time, Burberry Brit.
Then today, I finally got a chance to stop by Saks and visit the Creed counter. I tried out all the big-name scents and was just blown away by how distinctive each one was. On Friday all the scents seemed to blend together and smelled fairly cheap, but all the Creed scents were very unique. I loved Himalaya the most, but was also very intrigued by the new 'Virgin Island Water' scent... which is at Nieman Marcus now and will be released elsewhere in June. That should give me just enough time to save up for it... they are definitely expensive, but I'm sold on the Creed name now.
By the way, the Creed attendant was impressed at how much I knew about the Creed scents for someone my age... so thank you for all your insight and advice, MSD... apparently you know what you're talking about.
