It depends what kind of Tattoo. My sort-of friend has one of those stars that seem to be so hip these days and a Scooby Doo tat. They're not very well done, either. To be honest, they look stupid. But he's the sort of guy to do that, and I don't think he's a very smart guy in general.
My wife has two tattoos that are beautiful, and have a special meaning to her. One is across her lower back, but I wouldn't call it a tramp stamp, just because it's there.
To me, a tramp stamp is a pair of those "ass antlers", or a stupid tribal-style bunch of squiggly lines. I used to contemplate getting a tribal myself, but I realized that they're retarded.
Piercings I'm not against, unless they leave a big permanent mark on your body (like those huge holes in the earlobes).
I don't think people should judge tattoos before knowing what they're about (except if it's something completely retarded). Some people view their body as a canvas, and tattoos as something that truly belongs there.
