Well, *did* you want him only for sex?
I think that if you were a nympho, you wouldn't be rejecting those other guys because of their ties to your ex, you'd just be going at it without any requirements, standards, etc.
Maybe if you take the time to show the guy that you enjoy spending time with him in a non-sexual way (if you do), the relationship could heal.
