I completely agree with petergriffin. I've been in the process of losing over 100 lbs since Feb, and by far the best results I have had are eating 5-6 small meals that add up to 2100 calories per day. Even eating 3 meals a day at 1400 calories didn't work as well.
(don't use my calorie counts as a guide for you, those are numbers tailored for me specifically)
