In Angels Words (updated randomly)
I decided to start a fresh thread of my work. Many of you "old school" TFPers may recognise different poems from years past. However, I felt as there are so many new members I wanted to share with them as well. I hope you all will enjoy what I have to offer you. ~Angel
Enchantment
Staring through opportunities window,
The panes streaked with the rain of my own accord.
Simplicity beyond the glass if only I clear the fog,
Life’s meadow awaits my dance among it.
Watching the growth sway in the silky breeze,
Inviting me to bask in the rays of life.
Intertwined branches break my soft ground,
Extending deep into the soul, enchantment awaits.
The wind breathes shivers of wonder in me,
Propelled along, telescoped in time, crashing with need.
Desire planted within this searing heart
An unexpected touch and forever I’ll be changed.
Letting Go
To release you is not to give up the dream,
But to grow and let go of what was.
The void that once held you is vast,
Endless depths, which plummet my being.
Existing in silence in my world,
You encompass me in my quietude,
Learning to escape the desire to touch you,
The need to hold you and kiss your soft mouth.
I can feel you, hear you, see you, taste you,
And yet you are nowhere near, you are past.
So imbedded in me is your memory,
I close my eyes and you surround me.
Connected at the very depths of our souls,
Even through goodbye, the link remains.
Never having loved so deep and lost so much,
I am learning of life, of love, of me…
Of letting go, the hardest step of all.
Quietude
I sit in quietude. My thoughts are abundant.
Drifting from a nothingness and then to all
that is me. Flowing in an all encompassing
bliss to the beautiful place I call peace.
Emptiness cannot consume me there, for
I am whole. The light in which my spirit
resides shines from within. I feel the glow
flood my body and seep out my pores to swathe
me in a radiance for all to see. No room for
darkness here. Filled with such blessings and
surrounded in God’s love.
Serenity is mine to behold.
