I liked the episode a lot. The lecture was classic. Ryan's build up before the lecture was a great touch.
Pam's art show was frustrating, though, for a few reasons. First off, Jim didn't show up. We know that a) Pam wished Jim was there, and b) Jim probably really wanted to go, and had to force himself not to. We were all waiting for him to show up, right? And then..... it's Michael instead.
Michael might have been supportive, but he's an idiot, which helps explain why he liked her crappy art. Which brings me to my next point...
I was really sad to see that Pam's art did, indeed, suck. I've been assuming that she's this incredibly talented artist, and she's just under appreciated. I was hoping this would be the time where Jim comes through as the only one to see the beauty in it. But, he wasn't there, and the art was crappy anyway. I wanted this to be Pam's moment of secret glory, or something. Instead, we just see that's she's as lonely as ever.
But the best part was, by far, Jim's vampiric transformation. Ha, when he peered back over his raised collar, looking like Nosferatu, I was dying. Dwight's comment of "One crisis at a time" was perfect Dwight. And Jim having the foresight to cover himself from the light as he's walking across the parking lot was fantastic.
