I've been doing the pen and paper thing for a long time now, and I've played everything from D&D to CoNTINUUM to lesser known RPG's like Asylum and Spookshow, I've even run a 6 year LARP that has only just died ::sigh:: . I've come into some fantastic games that blow the mainline (i.e. d20 and whitewolf) rpg's clear out of the water. I mostly run, but I enjoy playing too.
The biggest problem I've noticed with the gaming group I run with now is that more than half of the players don't show up to game, they show up to hang out... while I have been accused of being a facist regarding my gaming, it's a bit discouraging to try and run a game that the players don't stay in character for more than thirty seconds.
