Living in Colorado, you can ask anyone who lives in Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, and to a lesser extent even Denver and Colorado Springs why they love winter.
It'll be two words:
WINTER SPORTS.
Snowboarding and skiing are something unique to Old Man Winter, and I doubt that you get much of it in Florida. Sure, there's surfing and beach bumming, and although I don't ski or snowboard hardly ever, I prefer falling in snow to baking in the sun all day long.
