Aww how can you say that? Little Miss Sunshine was filled with great scenes, left and right.
Children of Men - 7/10
The best part of this movie was the cinematography. There were so many intense scenes that were seamless sequences without a single cut. You'll have to watch it twice to admire it. Another highlight for me was the soundtrack; every song had some vulgar, angsty line thrown randomly into it that would make me stop and just go, "Did I just hear that from the sountrack?" There is a lot of emotion infused into the scenes toward the end that help drive it through.
As far as the story goes, it was interesting, but it wasn't satisfying. There is no explanation done anywhere in the movie.. we simply have to take whatever we see as ... we see it. With a great performance from Clive Owen, everyone else in the movie is just going through the motions. There are a few comic relief characters who do their job well, but Julianne Moore and the rest of the "Fishes" are totally flat.
