Is BMG the best music club?
Back in the day I was with BMG music club, and I remember buying/ordering quite a few CDs through them. As I got older, I started to realize that I didn't like most of the popular stuff as much, and thus resorted to downloading music and listening to it briefly before discarding it.
Lately, I've been getting into classical music much more than in the past (with jazz and blues, it's all I listen to now), and I am considering starting up my own classical music collection.
I've never been one to buy CDs at stores, as I feel they are too expensive and generally not worth it, thus I thought of BMG music club, and was wondering if they are still the best music club in terms of selection and pricing?
They are the only club I am familiar with, but if there are others out there that might be better than, or even on par with, BMG Music, then I would definitely be interested in checking them out.
With BMG's 12 for 1 deal, the CDs come out to about $4.04 per CD after accounting for shipping and the full retail cost of one CD. I am not sure if there is special pricing for additional purchases beyond the initial 12, or if it's a once and done offer.
I'd also be interested in hearing your experiences with BMG Music lately, if you've been a member. I'd be particulary interested in their classical, jazz, and blues music selection.
Thanks!
