I thought the same thing... until I played FFXII. Now I'm hooked and I can't put it down. It's sad to say, but in all honesty FFXII has outdone FFVII to me. It's just crazy.
The storyline in XII is so solid. The graphics are superb, the voice acting is an amazing improvement over what they once had. I just can't describe it. It's truly a game to be experienced first hand to understand just how amazing it is.
