I never thought I would be so thrilled when I KNEW Thelma Lou understood the words "Go Walking", "Outside", "Mailbox", "Beary" (her bear toy), "Bone" and when she learned to distinguish by sight the automobiles of my sister, nieces, and two brothers, all from her back-of-the-sofa-at-the-living-room-side-window perch.

She's a genious, I think.
