Most Australian mainland capital cities are now facing major water crisis with most cities having less than 50% of water storages remaining. Cities like Melbourne have had rain up to 90% below the average for September and October 2006 compounding the problem of extremely low rainfall from the preceding winter months.

In 2003 we went through a damn hot day of 43.9 c thats 111.02 f just missing a record high on January 13, 1939 named Black Friday when they suffered 45.6 c 114.08 f. Heres the irony only 2 days earlier I knocked back an airconditioner.
And they're predicting another long hot summer this year.
