Since my daughter moved to Olympia WA last year and I'm on the U.S.East Coast, when we talk one of the things I ask her about is the weather. I know it's the Temperature Rainforest thing. I was very surprised when I saw U.S. weather data showing that New York City gets more inches of rainfall each year than Seattle! ...by quite a margin too.

It rains more in Oregon than in Washington, too. But in Washington it's just always gray. Here you're more likely to get a downpour. When I moved here, I was amazed that the rain actually poured on a normal everyday rainy day. I'd never seen that before except during bad storms!
Lately, though, it's been sunny and about 65. We're enjoying it while we can, storing up sun for the winter months.
