I raise my glass to my new step-grandson, born this evening at 7:26pm. I wish him the best despite the parents god has given him. I wish for him a better life than that of his parents.
I raise my glass to my step-daughter on the birth of her first child. May he change her life for the better and help her to realize how important a good life is. May the drugs and irresponsible behavior be a thing of the past.
I know I sound negative and bitter, but I am so fearful for this little baby. We didn't raise her like this.
