Analog, you don't have to be Asian or have the jowles to "dress up" like Kim. There's no need to tape back your eyes or anything, that's a bit extreme. I guess it depends on what you are going for: realism or satire/spoof. Hence the baby bottle, pacifier and styrofoam nukes. I think if you did the makeup, hair, and outfit pretty good, then people would get the idea.
Think, if you go as Steve Irwin, you're not gonna really look like him. It's the idenifying elements: khaki outfit, screaming "crikey" all the time and the sting ray barb is the perfect touch. (I'm assuming you are not Australian but you can still dress up as him). In the same vein, I met a chick who dressed up as Austin Powers at a Halloween part a few years ago. She was Asian, but it was obvious that she was Austin Powers (the blue velvet suit with the ruffles and the glasses and bad hair. She even had a a fake set of teeth and a bottle of "mojo".
I say go for it, and have a friend go as George Bush and you guys can chase each other around throwing little tantrums along the lines of "he started it, he started it!". It will be hilarious.
I had a friend dress up as the "winter of our discontent". Talk about abstract!!! I personally liked it.
