Hi,
I moved into a new apartment and am having a devil of a time getting DSL installed. The neighbors have excellent open wi-fi points, but my wife's desktop computer is FUBAR and won't let her connect to them directly. Instead my iBook is running internet sharing through our ethernet hub and she is connecting through it. This is an inconvenient situation wiring wise and inefficient power wise and also puts undue stress on the laptop.
Is there are hardware alternative that can perform this function? Act as a sort of router for machines in my apartment using the internet connection we are "borrowing"
