not to mention if it malfunctions while you are in the car.... wheee that's fun! happened to a friend who wired his car seat to the battery as a theft detterrent in the 80s. He used metal thread into the seat, and one day it malfunctioned and he didn't have a place to sit as he drove the car to work.
