Remote User Cannot use Windows Domain
I screwed up.
I sent out a laptop running Windows XP Pro SP2 to a telecommuter without logging in as he and setting up his profile (didn't have time). What he needs to be able to do is log in as his domain user account. He has a regular Microsoft style VPN connection. He has access to the local Administrator username and password.
How would he eventually be able to login using his regular user name and password?
I think I may have solved my own problem. As it turns out, I can't dial into the VPN before attempting to login because the connection does not show up in the login window. This is because I set the connection to only appear for the user it was made for, not for everyone. I am going to recreate the connection to show up for everyone, and see if that remedies the situation. If not, I'll ask for more assistance!
