I never shaved down there, I used depilatory creams around the edges when I was younger. I have been getting a Brazilian wax, or sometimes a Playboy for the last 14 years. And I LOVE IT!!!!!!
besides the benefit of good sex, I also now have almost no hair. Another plus is it takes longer to grow back. BUT you MUST have a good waxer!!!!!
I totally agree with you about the lack of “absorbency” without the hair being around.
