Shesus and I went to see "The Descent" yesterday. I have to admit that I was ready to despise this movie from the trailers I saw a few months back but I ended up rather liking it.

The advertisemtnt for this movie compares it to Alien. I believe the comparison is made from the sense of isolation present in both films. What I liked about Descent is the presence of some very real suspense long before the horror story begins.

I'll give this one 8/10. There were some elements that could have been improved and there were a couple of horror movie cliches used that weren't necessary, but aside from that it was a very enjoyable film.
