Earth's magnetic field is weakening, that's true. Ehhh... I'm not a scientist, but I remember that Earth's magnetic field reverses every couple of thousand years (I don't really remember the number). So that, in iteself, is nothing to be alarmed by. Life still goes on. Though, it would be rather interesting to see what effects it would have on our ecosystem.
Anyway, if human's are to die off it'll more than likely be because we kill ourselves off, rather than some external force killing us off.
