Or wait for.... DISNEY METEOS!
or not, whatever...
I've been on vacation from TFP. I miss y'all. So since school let off and tuition got paid, This is what I've been playing.
Trauma Center- Buy this. Don't have a DS? Lite's out. Now is the time to buy. 10/10.
Metroid Prime Hunters
Single player sucks, but I've forgotten about it. I just play multicard deathmatch with all bots. It's a riot. based on that, I say 8/10, losing points for only supporting 3 bots or extra players, and not giving me freedom to make them harder. Like, I can't play 4 player teams, 3 on me. It's like portable UT, and if you'd told me this was gonna be available on a handheld back when I was in highschool playing UT like a junkie, I'da shanked you in the face and stole your fancy time machine.
New Super Mario Bros.
Awesome game, great art design, captures the feeling of the first SMB game on the NES. Too many lives though, and I can't seem to get into 2 of the worlds. Crazy hard to get into... 85/100
Star Fox Assault
I loved the first 2 Star Fox games, and steered clear of Adventures. I thought Assault went back to the old formula. There's some ship combat, but it's mostly a tame 3rd person shooter with a terrible camera. 3/10 for shattering my dreams, and being shitty at 2 genres at the same time.
2 weeks ago I got my XBox 360. I didn't get an XBox because I didn't feel it had enough games I would want (also, it was damn ugly, and the controller was too weird for me, I mean cardboard discs? Black and White buttons?). And there are really only a handful. I had a PS2 and GameCube, and quite a large library for each.
One game I missed out on and really wanted for the Xbox was Ninja Gaiden.
My friends raved about it when it came out, but I never got a chance to try it, so, as it was on the B/C list, I picked it up. Had I known it was just a super difficult version of Devil May Cry (the menus are even similar), I'd have saved my money. I can't review this fairly because I'm only in level 2.
Call Of Duty 2- My first 360 game. Pretty. Could be prettier. Multiplayer sucks. I can't take a friend online with me, the maps are too large for 2-4 player, and there're no bots to compensate for that. Multiplayer feels tacked on. 8/10
Halo 2- Bought out of peer pressure. I'd gotten pretty far in single player before, so I tried that out again. The story is so weak, and at times, so cheesy, it was almost unbearable. Multiplayer in this game is fantastic though. I'll say Single Player Halo 2 - 5/10, Multiplayer Halo 2 - 9/10. That sounds fair.
ES4 Oblivion- Never played a game like this in my life. Used to the Japanese console RPG or the point and click Diablo/Guild Wars RPG. Totally blown away by this game, in terms of gameplay, story, evoked emotion, fun, and freedom. 96/100, reviewed post alottabugfixes. If I'd gotten it earlier, and suffered the bugs, the review would be much lower.
Crimson Skies- Super fun arcade style flight sim. Gift of a friend who had 3 copies from Live kits. Free makes it even better. I say 8/10 from what I've seen so far in Multiplayer, but it loses 2 points for not having a cockpit view option.
