-Short plot-
It's about this kid who has a red balloon that follows him around like a dog. It gets hit with a rock from some mean kids, and dies. Then ~100 other balloons swarm around the kid and take him off into the sky.
They never tell you what happens to the kid, but since it is a foreign film, I have to assume that he:
1) Gets eaten by the balloons
2) They drop him in the ocean and gets eaten by sharks
3) They visit the zoo and he gets eaten by lions

And Castle In the Sky was one of those Miyazaki (spelling?) anime movies. My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away are some other of his movies.
