Mal, I'm going going GOING with your blue jello idea! I'm going to use a giant fishbowl, have candy rocks at the bottom, gummy fish and sharks, make a gummy reef by melting gummy stuff together, and the jello will be spiked, so folks will ladle their jello shots out of the aquarium!!
Decided to to with finger foods and the like, so Jack doesn't get stuck grilling outside all night or helping out with the food. Will have "Parrot wings" heh. I've already put in my order for gummy rats for table decor.
Will make some kind of biscuits with raisens/dried cranberries/choc. chips for weevils. Fruit platter. Quiche (just kidding).
Gonna decorate with fishnets (uhh, not stockings. Although that would be funny, maybe in the bathroom, see if anyone *gets* it) and white twinkle lights, inside and out.
I'd still welcome any ideas though!
