Like I suggested in that other thread, use Daemon Tools. It's much more intuitive. You start up the virtual drive, right click Daemon icon in tray, select the drive and mount> and then select your MDS/MDF to load it. VOILA! If all worked correctly, Windows (and everything else that matters) will believe you have a real CD in the drive.
And from there, it's only a matter of installing from your pirate.. .. errm.. I mean legit.. disk.
