In 1961 when the XKE first came out I was 12yo and immediately fell in love and said I'd own one one day. Within a few weeks after graduating from college, the first car I ever owned that I bought myself was the '67 XKE Roadster I bought in 1972, perfect condition ....orgasmic ownership
PS: that Ariel Atom comparison with other track cars must have been in something other than Grassroots Motorsports since I looked and couldn't find it. Maybe it was a recent Sports Compact Car.
