I mean... to me, whoever an actor is in real life doesn't affect his on-screen characters, at least in the case of Tom Cruise. It's not like he's Oscar-worthy. I'm not going to a Tom Cruise movie expecting riveting dialouge and a water-tight plot, I go to see him do his goofy-assed "OMG!" run at top speed either towards or away from a building that has either been blown up or might be blown up sometime in the immediate future. Personally, I thought MI3 was a bit of a knuckle-biter, but then again I'm just a fragile minded woman
