I have to agree about the commentary. Worse than Richie Benaud on a rainy day at best - especially the action sports. Supersport (local sports network) had very nice coverage of the entire games. I think there were 5 channels dedicated to just the games, so I saw all the sports and all the teams.

I, however, was surprised at the class of the athletes participating. There were many world records broken, not to mention countless games records. A world record is a world record in my book. It doesnt matter where it's broken.

The Commonwealth Games will never compare to the Olympics, but I think they give other, smaller nations a chance to compete on a bigger stage.
