I never got tired of the different temples and shrines when we went two years ago. Mr. Nakamura was such a great guide, pointing out what the different symbols meant, telling the stories behind them and the small variations.
The people were very, very friendly, but that probably comes as a result of being with Japanese escorts everywhere I went.
I couldn't tell you much about the nightlife, as there was no way I was going to do anything like that. God what a scare concept.
