Good news Fredweena. Life of Pi is being made into a movie due to be out in 2007.
I'm very excited by this although I hate to see books get slaughtered. However, it's directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunot (Amelie, Delicattessen, City of Lost Children). He is awesome and I'm hoping he can do a good job with it. If you want more info:
