They probably won't send someone out unless you bought it from a high-end dealer. If you bought it from a box shop (Best Buy, Circuit City), you might have to take it to them.
If it's annoying, I'd call. They may take it and try to fix it, but they may just give you a new one if it's a factory recall issue. I don't see where you have anything to lose just by calling and asking what they think. If it's too much of a hassle, don't do anything.
