This is an interesting question for me since I've never really been asked it. The first time I read the question I actually thought it was "WHAT do you write" and I was all prepared with my response until I read the question again..
Why do I write. Well first I have to answer what do I write. And that is horror stories and humor articles.
I think I mainly write to escape from my VERY boring life. Even if my story is unhappy, it's still something different. My life is so routine and dreary that anything different is what keeps my mind reeling. When I write, it all rolls through my head like a movie and I entertain myself. Most of the time the joy is writing it, and not having the finished product.
Now the humor articles are for my own expression. I'm a pretty shy person and don't really have an opportunity to share my funny ideas and thoughts on a regular daily basis, so that's why I jot all of that down..
