Yeah my local ford mechanic said ditch it too. I have a bunch of motorcraft ones laying around that'll i'll use, the fram make nice filters for painting and engine block though
The steering wheel will get upgraded to either a grant 3 spoke or an older style 82ish mustang one. All that i'm really been doing lately is hoarding parts I need, electric fan, odds and ends. I can't really do any body work/subframe reinforcement until my dad clears out his shop and makes the rotisserie. Oh and I will be converting it to 5 lug and putting 95ish style mustang brakes on it. If anyone knows where I can get some 5 lug crown victoria 16" steel rims I would appreciate it.
