For example, the offensive line couldn't protect Manning for shit, Tarik's false start penalty took a touchdown away from us, we abandoned the run too early, we didn't use the two TE sets that we usually use earlier, we were poised to stop the run and they came out passing, and the offensive line (again) couldn't pick up the blitzes to save their lives (which got Manning sacked numerous times) and I could go on all day. Football is a team effort, and not all the blame can be layed on Peyton for all those problems.

On more than one occasion, the "receiver ran the wrong route", or is that that Manning switched the play and did not get the signals out, so the wide outs did not really run the wrong route. Those are communication problems that fall at the feet of Manning.
He is like a co-offensive coordinator, and despite James being effective in the running game, he chose to throw the ball down the field over and over again when they were down only 11 in the third quarter.
Manning has said that he normally has a running play and a passing play called in, and that he has the choice between the two, and decides that at the line most of the time. So its 2nd and 2 in Steelers territory, and he decides to go for broke by throwing it to Wayne in the end zone. What a terrible call. Run the ball, get the first down, because you still have two timeouts left. Instead, Wayne doesn't come down with it, and he is forced to pass again on 3rd and 2.

Peyton Manning isn't the reason why they lost, but his poor start, lack of accuracy, and questionable decision making was a contributing factor.
