After it's striped you'll lose the data. I'm experimenting with Ontrack's EasyRecovery Professional 6 (I have some data recovery issues of my own) and there's an option for Raw Recovery which is what you'll probably need. I don't know any other recovery softwares so I'm waiting for suggestions as well.
