I'm looking at this in terms of living with the heart and mind divided and how that affects our thoughts and actions, and often in my opinion, a lot of the conflict within the self that results in negative actions and outcomes. Once I made the connection of a "divided kingdom" with our heart v's mind, or logic v's emotion, this has made much more sense to me...
Great thread PastorTim, it's nice to meet you & welcome

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ~ Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour
