Do you have...
...a favorite Bible verse, passage or book?
Wasn't sure the best place to start this thread, but literature seemed to be a good place for it.
If you have a favorite portion of the Bible, I'd love to have you share it.
I had been a convert to Christianity for about 5 years when my wife and I experienced three deaths of immediate family members in less than 6 months. It was a difficult time for me. I reacted by doubting God for a time, though in retrospect I'm sure this was also part of my grieving.
But in time, I found my way back to faith through Matthew chapter 5, the beginning of "the Semon on the Mount."
It was a blessing to have God's Word speak to my heart, and heal my soul. So I'm partial to the whole Sermon, chapters 5-7 of Matthew.
Looking forward to anything you might have to share.
God bless.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ~ Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour
