There was a six month gap, between the Vietnam era G.I Bill, and the Montgomery G.I Bill.
Guess where
this dumbass landed. Yup. I went active duty right smack in the middle of those 6 moths, so no G.I. Bill for me.
Now, add to that the fact that I was 17 when I went active, and 26 when I separated, and you have the fact that I never registered for the Selective Service. That causes no end of trouble, every time I apply for student aid. Bureaucracy...gotta love it.
