I love bowling. It's a great activity to do with friends that doesn't require a lot of thought. It also has "downtime" so there aren't obstacles to communication. Very underrated activity by the masses, if you ask me. The only thing I don't like about bowling is the amount of cigarette smoke in some bowling alleys.
I bowl a straight ball so my average is around 155. When I get a little more time and money on my hands I'll learn how to throw a ball with hook. I imagine that will make my game crappy for a while, but then eventually make it better than it was.
