Say Mal? What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Why don't you come to my place?
...Canada is already done with Thanksgiving. This is just another weekend to us. You can come up and hang with TFP Toronto.
As to being bitchy about Thanksgiving... it's interesting. Thanksgiving is just not such a big deal here as it is in the US. Sure we get together for a big meal with family but that's about it. It isn't celebrated with parades, mandatory attendence, four day weekends, etc.
Furthermore, it is sanely placed in October where it is almost two whole months away from Christmas. We get a nice breather before we have to up and do it all again. Having such a big holiday 30 days before and even bigger holiday is just nuts in my book.
